We got the rest of Sarah's senior portraits today (our photographer gave us her wallet pic asap so we could send out her graduation announcements).  We bought the rights to the photographs so I can post and print to my heart's content.

 Last night was the annual spring formal and it was an absolutely wonderful evening!  The kids had a great time, and the chaperones had a great time watching the kids have a great time .

Time to Celebrate!!

Two of my favorite people have something to celebrate today. 

First, my wonderful, beautiful daughter Sarah turned 18 today.

Second, her dear boyfriend Ryan got a 30 on his ACT.
Full college scholarship here he comes!

I love you both.

The Power of Music

This afternoon I was surfing through some favorite sites and stopped at a girlfriend's blog.  What's that I hear?  Oh my....Journey....only one of my favorite bands 25 years ago (I am sooo old).  The song was Don't Stop Believing, but the title and lyrics didn't matter.  It was the music....just the music.  It didn't conjure up specific memories, just feelings....the feelings that went with midnight runs to Del Taco in summertime with the windows rolled down.  Good feelings....very good feelings.  My kids thought I'd lost it.  I just turned it up loud and played it over and over while I worked in the kitchen.  It was one of those simply happy moments.

Thank you Kim....you made me feel good today.
